Name:
Named for its relationship to demicheleite-(Br), with dominant Cl. The root name honors Vincenzo de Michele (b. 1936), former curator of the Natural History Museum, Milan, Italy.
Cl-analogue of dsemicheleite-(Br) and demicheleite-(I). Stoichiometrically similar to bismoclite (BiOCl). Other Bi-bearing chlorides: argesite, steropesite.
