A former lode Au-Ag-Mo mine located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 17, T12N, R8E, MDM, 0.9 km (0.6 mile) SW of Duncan Hill (coordinates of record), 1.5 km (4,800 feet) E of Ophir, and N of Auburn Ravine. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 45SE. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 15.24 meters and comprised of a shaft.
