A former lode Au-Zn-Cu mine located in secs. 29, 30 & 32, T3S, R16E, MDM, 1.3 km (4,300 feet) WSW of Hunter Valley Mountain (coordinates of record) and E of Webb Station, on private (patented) land. Discovered in 1865. Property consists of 3 patented claims plus a rectangular piece of land known as Berettas enclosure, which includes most of the old Barrett and Beaudry claims. Produced during the period 1931-1932. Operated by Angelo Beaudry and Inez Bouvier. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone. The wall rocks are chiefly meta-augite andesite greenstone, although chert has been described in workings. None was found. The greenstone is part of the Penon Blanco member of the Upper Jurassic Amador Group. Rhythmically banded chert and associated sedimentary rocks of the Hunter Valley chert member of the Amador group is exposed along the road S of the mine. It strikes N40W, 63NE. It is assumed that the greenstone trends in the same direction. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 60.96 meters and comprised of a 200 foot shaft in 1920, plus an adit driven NE to intersect the NW-trending ore zone.

Production data are found in: Bowen, O.E., Jr. & C.H. Gray, Jr. (1957).

Production information: Has produced pocket gold ore and gold ore of milling grade as well as high-grade, oxidized and sulfide Cu ores. $90,000 (period values) in Au realized from this mine up to 1907.

Analytical data results: Au 0.04 ounces/ton; Cu 13.32%, Zn 2.0%, Fe 28.51%, insolubles 22.7%.
