A former Na-salt occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T30S, R38E, MDM, 3.0 km (1.9 miles) ESE of Saltdale, near the NE shoreline of the dry lake. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Production of salt by solar evaporation od surface brine during the period 1919 to 1927. The property was purchased by the Long Beach Salt Company and the plant was dismantled. Crystallizing ponds are also located in the SE¼ sec. 2.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include surface operations involving surface evaporation ponds.
