Stratiform gypsum deposit (anhydrite layer surrounded by gypsum formed by hydration).
Mining was inactive in the 1950s.
IRIS database says it was mined from the 19th century until 1968 (confusion with Katharinenlager?). Co-ordinates based on IRIS database "Eugenlager".
Be aware that the gravel on the road to the mine is ultramafic rock from Kraubath (Styria) and has nothing to do with the gypsum deposit.
