A Cu-Ag-Pb-Zn-Au mine located in North-central sec. 36, T.18S., R.15E., adjoins the south end of the Chicago claim. Owned at times, or in part, by the Rosemont Copper Co.; the Rosemont Development Co.; and, Chilson.

Mineralization is copper carbonates, oxides, silicates, and sulfides with minor lead and zinc minerals in fault, fracture, and bedding-controlled pyrometasomatic replacement orebodies in crushed and silicated Paleozoic limestone intruded by quartz latite porphyry in thrust-faulted Paleozoic formations.

A 12 foot zone of crushed, silicified, and mineralized limestone dips to the north under a hanging wall of granite porphyry. In the zone some epidote, with quartz, calcite and secondary copper ore minerals, is developed. Post-mineral movement is shown by a north-south fault dipping 60ºE., which cuts the crushed zone. There is considerable east-west and north-south faulting and mineralization along the fault lines.

Workings include shafts, tunnels, and 3 large open cuts. Rich surface ores were mined in the 1890's. Sporadic production of some 3,000 tons of ore averaging about 10% Cu and 1 oz. Ag/T, together with the Chicago & Oregon Copper Mines.
