Located 4 kilometres south-east of the Quarry Camp site, 145 kilometres east of Derby and about 15 kilometres south of the Gibb River Road.
Between May to November 1987, Black Granite Pty Ltd (Parry Corporation) opened a pit here on a north-west trending ridge, and extracted a large volume of black granite, which it trucked to its facility at Muchea, before being exported to Japan to be used as headstones.
