Historically the most significant mine in the area. Active from 1894 until the end of 1898. It was originally prospected by an Adelaide/Melbourne syndicate. Floated in August 1894 in Glasgow, with 80 000 pounds capital to develop the deposit.

The reef averaged 2 feet wide but widens to large pockets up to 12 feet wide. The reef was irregular virtually turning around onto itself, and largely horizontal along its length. It was stated it was possible to walk down the footwall from the surface to 50 feet deep, where the reef became horizontal. After 30 feet of this, the reef dips vertically. The reef outcropped on the surface, but the feature had toppled over. Grades averaged 30 to 35 dwt, with gold found in quartz veins.

It was opened by extensive alluvial surface workings, and two shafts to 120 and 110 feet deep. F.B. Harwood was mine manager, and E.D. Cleland engineer. At the end of 1898, the mine applied for a 3 month exemption, while the company reconstructed, however the mine never re-opened.

From 1894 to 1898, the mine produced 6523 tonnes of ore for 5993 ounces of gold.

In 1924, the mine was under option to the Lancashire Company, who were processing the tailings, averaging 15 dwt.

The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
