The Red White and Blue Mine is about 4 kilometres north-west of Cue, and just east of the Hidden Treasure Mine.
It was developed by English Company the Red White and Blue Gold Mining Co, from 1895 to 1898. By 1896 there were five shafts and a 20 head battery was erected . They then found it needed water which they didn't have. An attempt was made to build a pipeline from the Salisbury mine which had an excess of water in the workings. This money ended up being wasted, and the battery was left idle most of the time, while their ore was crushed elsewhere. The main shaft got down to 200 feet on a reef 12 feet wide.
In October 1896, Mine Manager A. Bayne was prosecuted for non compliance of safety regulations, but the case was dismissed. J. St Quintin took over the role in January 1898. Crushings were reported later in the year, before the mine closed.
The Mindat co-ordinates are approximate.
