Mina Ambiciosa, Vide de Alba, Municipio de Losacino, Zamora

Mine located southwest of the town of Vide de Alba in the municipality of Losacinos where an important lenticular mass of baryte (10-15 m) was mined.

This is a perfect example of stratiform deposit of baryte of origin volcano-sedimentary (SEDEX), with subvertical disposition between materials of the Silurian and lenticular structure (boudin).
Between the mass of baryte are found associated sulfides, especially tetrahedrite, giving a number of alteration minerals including any uncommon like camerolaite.
