Corundum bearing biotite schist on contact between garnetiferous biotite gneiss and serpentinite. The corundum is mainly purple, but also semi-precious ruby does occur. The mine also produced 16.90 tons of garnet in 1976, the garnet being identified as pyrope-almandine with only traces of spessartine and uvarovite.
