Stratabound sedimentary manganese deposit with contact-metasomatic overprinting.
According to Zhu (1994) the deposit contains plenty of massive rhodonite which is suitable for cutting. Spessartine forms transparent orange to dark red crystals that are typically 2-3 mm across.
