This mine worked two copper lodes and a NS-trending lead lode, which was probably the southern extension of the lode worked by Pentireglaze Mine. The workings were located mainly on the western bank of Shilla brook, but the sett also included several small workings east of it, most of which cannot now be located. Most of the area has been built over, but there are traces of overgrown dumps remaining on the steep slope southwest of the caravan park.
Polzeath Consols was worked under that name from 1847 until 1856. Between 1855 and 1856, it raised 6 tons of 67% lead ore.
