A Ag-Au-Cu-Pb prospect located in the center S½ sec. 16, T8S, R22E, on the northwestern slopes of the Pinaleño Mountains, on National Forest land. Location uncertain except that this prospect is close to the Lindsey Grave-Relative (?). Owned by Messrs. Hegan and Mathews of Arizona (1945).
Mineralization is quartz veins in Precambrian granite. Minerals identified are azurite, chalcopyrite, galena, malachite, and pyrite. Mineralization is spotty and not continuous at the surface.
Workings include several prospect pits in this area dug on the quartz veins. One select sample assayed 0.772 oz/st Au, 17.9 oz/st Ag, 1.3% Cu, and 1.9% Pb.
