I'm the curator at the Museum of Natural History, Roger Williams Park, Providence, Rhode Island, USA, Rhode Island's natural history museum. We collaborate with the NASA Rhode Island Space Grant Consortium, the Brown University Planetary Geosciences Group, and the Brown University Observational Cosmology, Gravitational Lensing and Astrophysics Group. My job gives me the chance to play with rocks and explain geology to children and teachers from Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and southern Massachusetts.

I have a degree in geology and geological oceanography from the University of Rhode Island and my interests are in mantle and subduction zone geochemistry, planetary geology, and seismology (I'm pretty good at carting around seismometers). I also have a passion for the geology of the Colorado Plateau (the most beautiful place on Earth), thin sections, and British minerals.
