A fine to medium grained, extrusive or hypabyssal igneous rock consisting mainly of analcime and pyroxene (usually titanian augite).
Other feldspathoids, plagioclase, and/or olivine may be present. Apatite, titanite, and opaque oxides may be present as accessories.
On the QAPF diagram, it is a foidite consisting of >90% feldspathoids, mostly analcime, with <10% feldspars, and <90% mafic minerals.

Mineralogy of Analcimite
Essential minerals - these are minerals that are required within the classification of this rock:
Analcime | Na(AlSi2O6) · H2O |
Non-essential minerals - these minerals are common, sometimes major components, but are not always present:
Olivine | Commonly used as a synonym for a member of the Fayalite-Forsterite Series, but more generally and properly ... |
Titanium-bearing Augite | (Ca,Na)(Mg,Ti, Fe,Al,)(Si,Al)2O6 |
