| Abstract/Notes | The pre-enrichment process of parent rocks in ion-adsorption-type heavy rare earth element (HREE) deposits is crucial for the formation of ore bodies. To investigate the two main pre-enrichment mechanisms-mineral fractional crystallization and fluid metasomatism, we conducted mineralogical, whole-rock major and trace element, rare earth element (REE), and Ba isotope studies on the Shitouping complex pluton (SCP), the parent rock of the Shitouping HREE deposit in southern Jiangxi. The SCP comprises medium- to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite (MGBG), medium- to coarse-grained biotite syenogranite (MGSG), and fine-grained alkali feldspar granite (FGAG). From MGBG to MGSG and FGAG, the SCP exhibits significantly high SiO2 (73.27–79.59 wt%) and low P2O5 ( |
