Daychouniyyeh, Caza El-Mten (Azar coll) | Szwedo J., Azar D., et al (2011) | Amber found in three intervals in the upper part of the Grès du Liban, dated to early or late Barremian based on stratigraphic position relative to marker beds "Banc de Mrejatt" and pisolitic interval. Age based on benthic foraminifera, calcareous algae, and charophytes. Marker beds are only present in certain regions of central and southern Lebanon, so the precise age of the Daychouniyyeh outcrop is uncertain (Maksoud et al., 2016). | amber | 129.4 - 125 Ma Early/Lower Cretaceous |
