LACMIP loc. 17611, along Dry Creek, near Pentz | Groves L. T. (2004) | Chico - Pentz Road | Russell et al. (1986) described the informal Pentz Road member of the Chico Formation for outcrops near "Pence's Ranch" (= Pentz), Butte County, northern California. Based on the presence of the ammonites Subinortoniceras chicoense (Trask, 1856) and Baculites chicoensis (Trask, 1856), they assigned an early Campanian age to these outcrops. | conglomerate | 83.5 - 70.6 Ma Late/Upper Cretaceous |
