Arlington Archosaur Site , Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas, USA
A Cretaceous Cenomanian Age delta and swamp environment fossil site in the Lewisville Formation located in Arlington, Texas. Found in 2003 by University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) students Phil Kirchhoff and Bill Walker, and citizen scientists Art and Saul Sahlstein. Excaved by UTA graduate student Derek Main and UTA professor Chris Scotese starting in 2009. After Dr. Derek Main’s unlikely death the Perot Museum of Nature in Dallas and Dr. Chris Noto administered the site. It is now a housing development with a small open space.
Dinosaurs, turtles, crocodilians, fish, sharks, rays, mammals and invertebrates along with their poop were excavated. Plants were also found.
