Maggie Creek Prospect
Sec 28 T34N R51E. Located 16 km northwest of Carlin.
Faustite was found in argillized shales associated with copper mineralization.
Covered by Tusc dumps.
Structure: Deposit In Upper Plate Of Roberts Mtn Thrust
Deposit: Vein, shear zones containing copper oxides with some radioactivity noted. Development consists of two adits, a two-compartment shaft, with several hundred feet of lateral workings, and several pits and trenches ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Geology: Oxidized copper minerals occur along shear zones in chert, shale, and limestone units the ore bearing zone strikes n60e and dips northwest. Radioactivity is associated with the secondary copper minerals along a n45e, 70 W fracture.
Ore(s): Fractured, Sheared Zones
