A former lode Au-Pb mine located in secs. 30, 31 & 32, T2N, R14E, MDM, 1.2 km (4,000 feet) WSW of Tuttletown, S of Jackass Hill and N of Mormon Creek. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. The Tam O'Shanter, Buena Vista and Toledo claims were not described by state reports. All have been assumed to be geologically similar to the adjacent Lead claim.
Mineralization is hosted on amphibolite and schist. Controls for ore emplacement included a shear zone. Gold and galena associated with massive ankerite and mariposite were extracted from quartz veins found in amphibolite schist host rock. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 150 foor deep shaft and short crosscut adit directed toward the dipping ore vein, which was not cut by the shaft.
