A former U mine located in sec. 8, T5S, R20E, MDM, 4.7 km (2.9 miles) WSW of Kennedy Meadow and 5.8 km (3.6 miles) SE of Dandanelle, in the Sonora Pass area, on National Forest land. Discovered in 1955. First produced in 1963. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a sedimentary deposit hosted in rhyolite, siltstone, limestone and sandstone. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
