A former Au mine located in the SE¼NW¼ (estimated) sec. 32, T5S, R35E, MDM, 0.7 km (2,300 feet) NNE of Blanco Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in marble and limestone. The ore body strikes N80E and dips S at a thickness of 0.61 meters. Alteration is local (oxidation). Granite is an associated rock. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings with a length of 7.92 meters and an overall depth of 13.72 meters and comprised of open cuts and a 60 foot incline plus a drift.
Commodity information: Said to average $13 Au/ton (period values).
