A former W-Zn (minor) mine located in the SW¼SW¼ sec. 12 & in sec. 13, T7S, R31E (MDM), 7.0 km (4.4 miles) W of West Bishop, along Deep Canyon, on National Forest land. Discovered in 1916. Operated during the period 1916 to 1942. Operated by the Bishop Tungsten Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10m meters.
Mineralization is hosted in schist. The ore body is 36.58 meters thick, 30.48 meters wide and 91.44 meters long. Associated rocks include diorite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Local structures include 3 high-angle faults.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a glory hole and other workings.
Production amounted to 182,600 tons of ore.
