A former placer Au occurrence/drift mine located in the NW¼ sec. 17, T13N, R11E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) ESE of Volcanoville, W of the headwaters area of Grizzly Canyon, on National Forest land. Property consisted of 160 acres. Prospected by Mr. William Ogle in 1934 and 1936. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
There was some Au output.
