A former drift placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T4N, R14E, MDM, 1.6 km (1.0 mile) NE of Murphys, on the divide between Indian Creek and San Domingo Creek. Property was 357 acres. Operated prior to 1915. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft to bedrock (95 feet deep) plus 2 rimrock tunnels at 50 and 100 feet long.
