A former surface and underground Au-Cu-Ag mine located in the SE¼NW¼ sec. 9, T11S, R20E, on National Forest land.
Mineralization is altered and mineralized areas associated with a fault zone between rhyolite and andesite. There is a highly erratic distribution of gold, silver, and copper minerals.
Workings include numerous pits, several shafts ranging from shallow to 300-400 feet deep, several short adits along a 2 mile N to NW trend between the Jackson Mine area and the Jackson Cabin. Overall low assay concentrations. Possible small gold, silver, and/or copper production; none recorded.
