Deposit: Alluvial gravels along bedrock, 60-90 ft. Thick the first placer discovery in the district, the gravels were first worked in 1907.
Deposit type: Placer Au-PGE
Development: This was the first placer discovery in the district.
Geology: The placer gold is found along the bedrock in gravels 60-90 feet thick. The deeper parts of the gravels are cemented in place. The gold was probably derived from veins near the large mass of granodiorite at granite mtn (johnson).
