Periodically active quarry on the west side of County Route S (section 14 T24N R16W) near Maiden Rock. It works Ordovician Prairie du Chien Group dolostone, with minor chert, sandstone and shale. Has produced some interesting goethite pseudomorphs after marcasite, associated with calcite and drusy quartz.
