A former underground Ag-Cu mine located on 5 unpatented claims (1925), in sec. 10, T7S, R20E, 2.4 miles E of Klondyke. Owned and operated by Mr. James Quinn (1925).
Mineralization is a tabular ore body hosted in Buford Canyon Formation Mesozoic-Cenozoic Andesite or basalt flows & flow breccia. The ore zone strikes E-W and dips vertically. Other veins strike N10-50W, and dip 55-80NE. Ore control was the Grand Reef and associated faults. The mine is located in blue-green, fine-grained amygdaloidal and scoriaceous andesite country rock fractured and cut by veins. Fractures filled with epidote.
Area structures include the Grand Reef Fault and block faulting trending NNW. Regional trends: minor Pre-Cretaceous E- and NE-trending folds and major Post-Cretaceous NNW-trending faults.
Workings are 21.34 meters in length and 9.14 meters in depth. Ross (1925) states that Quinn had shipped 3 carloads of ore in 12 years of operation. USBM-ABGMT file data states 1 year of production reported in 1924 of 27 tons of ore.
