Deposit: In 1932, nevada-oregon mining co. Acquired 300 acres and attempted a large-scale operation placer gold was discovered in 1931 by rufus stevens. In 1932 the oregon-nevada mining co. Acquired 300 acres and attempted an unsuccessful venture to work gravels on large scale. Subsequent work in 1930's was by individuals leasing the ground to work.
