Deposit: Cinnabar occurs disseminated through an opalite 20 ne. Bed 3-10 ft thick part of the butte quicksilver mining company's property, the mine is actually separate from the butte workings. Granger (1956 p.80) has a geologic map of the mine

Development: Part of the butte quicksilver mining co's property, but a separate mine
Geology: The blanket deposit which ranges from 3 to 12 feet in thickness, has been explored for 240 feet along strike and 125 feet along dip, its complete limits hadn't been delineated in 1944. A fe W veinlets of cinnabar are present As off shoots belo W the main blanket deposit of cinnabar disseminated through a stratigraphically controlled opalite zone.
