Locality type:
A hydrothermal sulphide vent deposit discovered during the Nautile dives in 1989. The main structural features, which characterize the 2-km-wide, 100-150-m-deep rift valley of the NFB in the White Lady area, are steep fault scarps associated with open fissures.
The White Lady chimney is located on the top of a 6-7-m-high, 50-m-diameter mound composed of sulphides and oxides.
