Abandoned quarry, from the 1980s converted into illegal dumping ground. Cleanup operations were conducted in 2016.
The first find of thorianite for the Somma-Vesuvius complex has been reported for this quarry. Fossils of genus pecten and dentalium have also been found in a marl block.
