A former small surface Cu-Ag-Au mine located in the N½ sec. 10, T.20S., R.15E. (Mount Wrightson 15 minute topo map), just N of Cave Creek Canyon 11 miles N of Patagonia, on National Forest land. Closed 1947. Owned by the Pomona Mining Co.
Mineralization is spotty, oxidized, argentiferous copper minerals along a strong fault zone cutting Cretaceous sedimentary and volcanic formations.
Workings include shallow shaft operations. Some 1,240 tons of ore, averaging about 0.8% Cu, 2.5 oz. Ag/T and a trace of gold, were shipped in 1947 (includes production of the Red Berry Mine).
