Open-pit Cu-Au mine working on a volcanic hosted deposit.
Located 8 km away from the Kosmurun mine.
"Mined by open pit to a depth of 50 m in 2007-08 to produce 1.4 Mt of oxide ore, which in 2008 graded 2.5% Cu, 0.63% Zn. The deposit basically comprises a single lens, which outcrops, with a strike length of 550 m, thickness of up to 150 m and dip of 75°. At depth the sulphides thin and divide, before pinching out at ~350 m down dip. Approximately 35% of the resource is classified as mixed oxide and sulphide, with oxidation persisting to a depth of ~100 m. Only 10 to 20% of the sulphides are massive, with the bulk being disseminated." (http://www.portergeo.com.au/database/mineinfo.asp?mineid=mn096)
