Located about 15 kilometres east of the Scotia Nickel Mine. Marston states it is 1 kilometre south of the Scotia-Carr Boyd mine track, 1.5 kilometres south-west of Ringlock Dam, and 6 kilometres south-east of the Ringlock prospect.
Explored by G and S Exploration 1970-1972, then Group Explorations, Sumitomo, and Nomura Trading as a joint venture in 1973, and Western Mining Corporation 1974-1977.
Poor outcrop.
Mineralisation is at the base of ultramafics, as lenses at the southern end of metadunite 1500 metres long by 180 metres wide. The host is medium grained, cumulus textured serpentinized peridotite to dunite, with sporadic talc, magnesite, dolomite, chlorite and amphibolite. Felsic dykes intrude the margins.
The sulphide is disseminated, mineralisation 300 metres long, with only one well developed shoot being 50 metres long. Plunges south-east 75 degrees. Supergene mineralisation is pyrite and violarite after pyrrhotite. Oxidation goes down 45 metres from the surface.
