One source found. In 1896, the lease at Barney's Hill had been taken over by the Conglomerate and Diamond Fields of Western Australia Limited. Their intention was to explore further for diamonds after 32 of the gemstones were recovered from stamper boxes after a gold crushing. The location is one kilometre north north-west of the Nullagine town site.
