GML 139. Historic lease adjacent to the Bow Bells mine. Locally known in the early 1900's as the Frenchmans. Very limited information found. The first report found is 1903. At the time there was much excitement and rumour in the district, the mine contained great riches. The rumours were unfounded. The nearby Little Wonder undertook a trial crushing with an option to purchase the lease. The results could not have been great as they failed to close the deal. Shortly after Ahern and Lambert (surnames) purchased the mine for 250 pounds. They sent through a crushing of 33 tonnes for 41 ounces. Crushing were found in 1904, 1905, 1907, and by McKenna and party in 1910.
A shaft had been sunk to 139 feet, on a rubbly quartz formation of faulted rock. The walls were 7 feet apart at the 70 foot level, with the best gold on the Hanging Wall. A shaft was also to the north-west, down 20 feet on a small quartz leader.
