Köppen climate type:
Beaumont (1908) states it is half a mile south of the Camerina Gold Mine. The best which can be said on the location of all the mines in this section, is they are within a few kilometres north of the Cosmo Newbery indigenous settlement in the Cosmo Newbery Hills.
It is on the same line of lode as the Camerina, but a larger formation. At the north end is a costean, showing the reef 12 inches wide. A costean to the south shows the reef to be 3 to 4 feet wide. It sampled about 10 dwt. Beaumont suggest it is probably a low grade affair, and with 83 kilometres to the nearest battery at Laverton, there is little hope of it being profitable. William Carr-Boyd, Nash and George Isard own the lease.
