Little is known about this location. It is listed on maps about 12 kilometres south-west of the Mikhaburra (Holden's Find) Mindat locality. There is no clear access to the area. Judges Patch is mentioned in government geologist's E. De Courcy Clarke's 1913 report about Holden's Find. He states Judges Patch was found about 1898, as a field of quartz, some showing specks of gold. There was limited prospector activity, as they could only access the site after rare rains. No reefs were located.
It is a mistake however to think of any of these areas as virgin territory with gold nuggets lying around waiting to be picked up. A 2009 exploration company report states gold is found along a 6 kilometres strike within the Juderina Formation. The area it states has been extensively worked for alluvial gold for the previous 30 years, with treatment through mobile gravity plants, and other areas with metal detectors. There was also evidence of historical dryblowing operations, although it confirms no hard rock reef mining took place. The company found very low gold values from its drilling programme.
