Small goldfield located on Section 111, Hundred of Para Wirra, discovered in 1884. Remarkable for the number of gold nuggets found, and total production was estimated to be in excess of 1000 ounces.
This locations is included in the Mount Crawford Forest fossicking area. Fossicking and the use of metal detectors is allowed with a permit available from the Mount Crawford Forest Reserve Headquarters, on Warren Rd.
Fossicking without a permit is an offence.
