Santa Gertrudis
Geologically part of the El Filo system, Santa Gertrudis is one of a cluster of small mines at Santa Librada, Municipio of Mapimi, Durango. Santa Gertrudis Mine specimens only began emerging on the specimen scene in 2011. Generally only distinguishable from El Filo if you know the exporter. However, so far no specimens from Santa Gertrudis have the strong purple shades of El Filo...most are a purplish grey at best.
Have seen 2 specimens from here with abundant distinctive sheaves of .5 cm white baryte. Have not seen these from El Filo, so this may be a distinguishing feature.
