Rød III pegmatitten, Søndeled herred, Risør, Agder, Norge
A granite pegmatite dike at Høgåsen about 500m Northeast of the Rød Farm and about 200m North of Fiskubuvika.
Andersen (1931) describes this pegmatite as being at the time non-quarried.
At the altitude map there is indeed no certain quarry visible.
The name of the locality -Høgåsen/Geitåsen- is doubtful. Modern maps place the locality rather on the Loftshei.
The coordinates are given for a spot 200 m N of where the Fiskebuvika appears on the map.
There is actually a quarry/mine at the base of the Geitåsen, but that one is 500 m N of the Fiskebuvika. It is unlikely that Andersen could have been so much off.
That locality is registered as Rød IV.
