An Sb deposit located in the SW¼ sec. 13, T19S, R44E, MDM, about 7.8 km (4.8 miles) W of Wildrose Peak (coordinates of record), and 4.4 km (2.7 miles) ENE of Wildrose Spring, N of Wildrose Canyon, on National Park Service land (Death Valley National Park). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
The Kennedy Claim was first located on 1 January 1897.Greene, 1981)
NOTE: Pemberton (1983) presents a T&R value of sec. 24, T19S, R45E, MDM; however, the USGS MRDS file #10076601 presents the T&R value of sec. 36, T19S, R44E, MDM, for the parent locality, the Wildrose Antimony Mines, and states that "The Kennedy group is located 2 miles N in SW sec 13, T19S, R44E." The coordinates provided in this Mindat file are adjusted for the prominent mining symbols (shaft + 3 prospects) located in the SW¼ sec. 13, as per the topo maps.
Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Death Valley).[[2
