Location: Cobb (1972, MF-413), loc. 50; NE1/4NE1/4 sec. 27, T. 3 N., R. 2 E., of the Fairbanks Meridian. The prospect is along Fairbanks Creek about 1/4 mile upstream of the mouth of Too Much Gold Creek. Accuracy is within 1,000 feet.
Geology: Mineralized schist, opened by a short tunnel, carries 0.2 ounces of gold per ton and 60 ounces of silver per ton (Smith, 1913; B 525). Quartz stringers carry gold, but no silver. Bedrock is mainly schist (Cobb, 1976; OFR 76-633).
Workings: A short tunnel was excavated in the mineralized schist (Smith, 1913; B 525).
