Geology: The rocks along Fish Creek consist of Paleozoic quartz-mica schist, greenschist, biotite schist, quartzite, and marble that have been intruded by Mesozoic hornblende granodiorite and Tertiary felsic igneous rocks (Foster, 1976). Prospecting occurred on Fish Creek in 1912 (Ellsworth and Davenport, 1913). Texas Creek (see EA061) is a tributary of Fish Creek that was prospected for placer gold.
