Summary:
The Little Joe[1] is an adit driven southwesterly and southward into the Stewart pegmatite for a distance of approximately 100 feet using mechanized haulage to develop an exploratory drift that encountered several small pods of lepidolite containing opaque pink tourmaline crystals, albite and quartz, increasingly towards the back and southern end of the underground advance. These workings were developed between the late 1980's and early 90's. The adit and drift are located on the patented Stewart mine property. Elevation approx. 1049' AMSL.
Footnote:
1. The adit was named in honor of the fictional character Little Joe Cartwright, from the popular American television series "Bonanza", a Western themed show which aired on NBC from 1959 to 1973.
