A tin mine, working four lodes in the area south of Common Moor and northwest of Penhale hamlet. In 1909 and 1916, the mine was reopened in search of tungsten ores. Further prospecting was carried out in 1942. In 1950, the mine was opened again, but mainly to work the vein quartz, the tin and tungsten ores being treated as by-products.
